Authors Note: This monologue is about how braces can be so annoying. The character isn't happy about getting braces and now she is going to find out who invented this. This is not one happy camper.
Uh, you will never believe what happened to me last night. It was the worst day of my life! I got braces with a capital “B.” I mean why do people have to be so smart? They have to invent things just to come up with some money, in order to get what they want, when they want. It is like really? You caused me, a stranger to you, to get braces. Now, my mouth hurts, I can’t eat, and I can barely bite down on my own mouth. Why couldn’t you be a suma wrestler or a firefighter? Come on, get a life. The worst part is I didn’t even get a choice, my mom made me. Ugh! Well, at least I get, I get, I get, wait what do I even get? Oh yeah, I get straight. I’m telling you, if this procedure doesn’t work, the inventor better watch his back. I may be dumb, but I have got tricks up my sleeves

Ok, so guess what? I know what you’re thinking .You are thinking…… what? I know right. Well, anyways I found out that the inventor, really didn’t invent braces, he took credit for someone else’s work, how dumb is that? So, yeah. Apparently, he copied Rupert Banks and now he is all rich and famous. How silly is that? But now I know who I am going after, if this doesn’t work. Anyways, my mouth is getting better and I can finally talk without a lisp but I am still mad about everything else. But we will see if this gets any better, I will keep you up to date.
I think that this is a really good piece. I love how you describe how much people hate braces! I also think that this is really how much people hate braces. But, after a while, it's worth it. Because your teeth are straight!
